During the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority’s (KEDFA) regular monthly board meeting, held in March and April, the following projects in the Greater Louisville region received preliminary approval for funding:
Louisville Brands, LLC
- Project Overview: Louisville Brands, LLC is a vertically integrated house of brands specializing in culturally-driven, innovative food, beverage, and spirit products, including Louisville Vegan Jerky Co., Mugen Spirits, and Party Horses. The company is considering an expansion in its Jefferson County facility. Louisville Brands was preliminarily approved for $2,500,00.00 in tax incentives through the Kentucky Business Investment (KBI) program.
- Investment: $7 million
- Location: Jefferson County, KY
- Job Creation: 210 jobs with an average hourly wage of $42.00 per hour, including employee benefits.
Aegis Sortation LLC
- Project Overview: Founded in 2017, Aegis Sortation has built a reputation as a leading provider of efficient, high-quality sortation solutions for businesses across a variety of industries. Due to increasing demand, the company needs to expand its operational capacity to a larger location in Jefferson County. Aegis Sortation was preliminarily approved for $2.2 million in tax incentives through the Kentucky Business Investment (KBI) program and $300,000 in tax incentives through the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act (KEIA) program.
- Investment: $15.9 million
- Location: Jefferson County, KY
- Job Creation: 80 jobs with an average hourly wage of $61.84 per hour, including employee benefits.
Process Machinery, Inc.
- Project Overview: Process Machinery, Inc. (PMI) was founded in 1979 and is a company that designs and manufactures conveyor systems and state-of-the-art construction aggregate plants in its facility in Shelby County. The company wants to expand operations within Shelby County. Process Machinery was preliminarily approved for $780,000 in tax incentives through the KBI program.
- Investment: $11.5 million
- Location: Shelby County, KY
- Job Creation: 30 jobs with an average hourly wage of $41.60 per hour, including employee benefits.
